For 32 Years, She Competed at the Highest Levels of Federal Contracting. Now, She Is Helping Build the Next Generation of Winners.

In 1994, Michelle F. Anthony founded Anthony & Associates, Inc. (AAI), which was incorporated in 1997. Over the next three decades, she grew the company into a successful multi-agency federal contracting firm while competing in the federal marketplace as a Black woman, U.S. Army veteran, and service-disabled small business owner. Under her leadership, AAI built an extraordinary record of performance across some of the nation’s most demanding government agencies. Its clients included Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the Defense Health Agency, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of the Navy, the Army, the Air Force, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice, among many others.

That chapter closed in 2026, opening the door to a calling Michelle had been preparing for throughout her career. For years, people encouraged her to teach and share what she had learned. Although the demands of leading and growing a successful government contracting firm left little time to pursue that work, the message remained clear.

Now, she is teaching.

Michelle is sharing the knowledge, strategy, and hard-won wisdom gained through decades of federal contracting. She teaches what works, what the regulations require, what contracting officers look for, and what separates businesses that win consistently from those that struggle to move forward. Her approach is open, comprehensive, and grounded in experience, without the shallow shortcuts that dominate much of the GovCon education available online.

This is not retirement. It is acceleration. Michelle is entering a new season of teaching, mentoring, writing, and building alongside her family, with renewed energy and a deeper sense of purpose. She is finally free to invest in the people who have been waiting for someone with proven experience to show them the way.
